Making planning even simpler, keeping things even better organised and taking up even less space in the switchbox: The new item products for autumn 2021 optimise processes in numerous areas. 

For one thing, we’ve added to our Work Bench System portfolio. Tables, Economy utilise the proven strengths of our profile technology to provide robust work benches in standard or custom dimensions while minimising material use. We’re also introducing new, innovative products for stowing away working materials under the work bench and for controlling Linear Units.

Exceptionally efficient and flexible additions to the Work Bench System

The modular Work Bench System is ideal for creating ergonomic assembly work benches for optimised workflows. New to the Work Bench System are Tables, Economy, which provide the material-efficient basis for custom solutions. The stable basic models are extremely flexible when it comes to adding Uprights and Overhangs. Whether a slightly larger table-top or taller table legs are desired, the modular design of Tables, Economy ensures full scalability in all dimensions. This leads to the perfect solution to any challenge associated with manual production. Depending on how they are being used, Tables, Economy can be based on Line 8 profiles or Profile Tube System D30. The load-carrying capacity of the basic model is 200 kg. In the future, Tables, Economy will also be available in the item Engineeringtool. The Work Bench Configurator can be used to design electrically height-adjustable work benches or solutions with just two table legs. Thanks to intuitive control and intelligent functions such as EPA visualisation, this online tool makes the planning process simpler than ever before.

Perfectly organised – including underneath the work bench

Drawer Units E are the ideal complement to item work benches. Exceptionally spacious, they can be located under any table-top. That makes Drawer Units E the perfect safe and economical solution for stowing away working materials at the work bench. What’s more, drawers come with a dividing insert that creates a well-organised structure. The modular Cable Duct, Economy is another new product designed to keep things neat and tidy underneath the work bench. Offering plenty of space for cables, power packs and Multi-Socket Power Strips, its modular design means multiple Cable Duct sets can be joined together. The Cable Duct can be opened from either side as a practical way of inserting cables and components. The new Flexible Conduit, Economy is ideal for routing cables neatly from the Cable Duct to the floor. All new Work Bench System products can be found here.

item Controller BL 1-04/C – a highly integrated and compact servo Controller

There’s also a new addition to item servo drive systems. The highly integrated item Controller BL 1-04/C is a high-performance solution with a fast sampling rate. In conjunction with a cutting-edge programming environment, this creates the perfect basis for the straightforward and flexible configuration of dynamic applications. Thanks to motion profiles, including I/O simulation, a Linear Unit controlled by the new item Controller BL 1-04/C can be seamlessly integrated into the item Linear System.

Thanks to its compact design (200x50x163 mm), item Controller BL 1-04/C offers two main advantages – it takes up little space in a switchbox, which in turn makes the item Linear Units even more flexible and impressive. Key functions and interfaces such as fieldbus and Safe Torque Off (STO) are on board as standard. HIPERFACE®, HIPERFACE DSL® and EnDat 2.2 encoder systems are supported, as are resolvers. The integrated USB and Ethernet interface helps with programming and transmission of the motion profile using item MotionSoft® commissioning software. Inputs and outputs can be simulated during development work.

Power couple for dynamic and high-precision linear applications

When partnered up with item Controller BL 1-04/C, Linear Unit KGT 6 60 P20 is ideal for applications that have exacting requirements in terms of dynamics and precision. Even when long strokes are involved, the travelling spindle supports of the Linear Unit ensure high speeds. Further, benefits of Linear Unit KGT 6 60 P20 include quiet, low-vibration operation, high repeatability, a compact housing and a stroke of up to 2600 mm.

Linear Unit KGT 6 60 P20 is also available as an item MotionKit in three standard lengths (600, 1400 and 2600 mm) – an all-in-one solution comprising Linear Unit, Motor and Controller.

This intuitive selection and configuration software uses application data to determine the ideal combination of servo Controller, Motor, Gearbox and Linear Unit, including all necessary components. item MotionDesigner® creates a complete program for the servo Controller, including parameterisation. This means you can get your drive up and running without having to spend time specifying your own settings.
