How do you actually improve on a successful product? Our approach is to optimise it one step at a time. That’s how our new Lifting Door 8 Compact came about, for example. Besides requiring some 60 percent less installation space than our tried-and-tested Lifting Door 8, this compact version is also incredibly simple to configure, install and operate. And that’s just one example of the kind of results made possible by the innovative spirit that drives our developers day in, day out. Read on to find out more about our new lifting door and to discover further new product highlights.

Modular lifting door for compact openings
Space-saving item Lifting Door 8 Compact makes it easier to access machine cabins, guards, enclosures and inspection points, keeping staff and equipment safely protected. Thanks to the space‑saving design of its frame, which is just 80 mm deep and 60 mm wide, Lifting Door 8 Compact is also ideal for small openings and hatches.
To simplify installation, the lifting door is supplied preassembled and can be inserted directly into its opening as a single module. This modular lifting door solution can be operated manually or combined with a stepper motor such as Integrated Motor ST NEMA 24 to create an electrically powered door. The low-friction Slide Guides and timing belt of the lifting door ensure a smooth and quiet action. The weight of the door is perfectly balanced by very simple and modular counterweights. What’s more, the arrester mechanism for Lifting Door 8 Compact ensures the door can be used safely at all times.
In detail – components of Lifting Door 8 Compact
Our new Lifting Door 8 Compact runs between two Guide Profiles 80×60. Besides providing vertical guidance, these profiles also accommodate additional functional components such as the arrester mechanism, timing belt and counterweights. In the surrounding frame, Adapter Profile 80 serves as the mounting for the preassembled Lifting Door 8 Compact. This Adapter Profile is fastened directly to the surrounding frame and is used to secure the entire lifting door at the final installation stage.
Thanks to low-friction Slide Guides, the door runs smoothly between the Guide Profiles.
The door itself is made of Line 6 profiles. Thanks to low-friction Slide Guides, the door runs smoothly between the Guide Profiles. A timing belt connects it to counterweights inside the Guide Profiles. The electrically powered variant of Lifting Door 8 Compact also utilises a Timing-Belt Drive and Drive Set to connect the door to a motor.
The opening for Lifting Door 8 Compact can be up to 1225 x 1119 mm (HxW). In this case, the total height is 2560 mm with an installation width of 1240 mm. The width-to-height ratio must not exceed 1:1.
Simple online configuration for space-optimised lifting doors
You can easily create your own lifting door in the item Engineeringtool or by using our configurable assembly. This means you can tailor the size and configuration to suit your specific requirements. Reduced design and engineering work combined with considerable time savings results in a particularly cost-effective solution.
When using a configurable assembly in the item Online Shop, all you need to do is specify the installation height and width. The complete lifting door is then configured with the relevant vertical travel and opening width.
Choose between two different options:
- Lifting Door 8 Compact (configurable assembly): Space-saving, manually operated lifting door with arrester mechanism and perfect balance.
- Lifting Door 8 Compact, electric (configurable assembly): Space-saving, electrically powered lifting door with Drive Sets for easy connection of the motor.
The configurator in the item Online Shop will compile all the parts you need – including your chosen panel element – to suit your particular requirements. A grip rail and a panel at the top for protection against jamming are included as standard. The configurable assembly calculates the dimensions and mass of the door and adds the necessary counterweight. Once your design is complete, you can add it directly to your shopping cart. All the relevant products will be included automatically, and you will always be shown price details straight away.
Incidentally, our standard Lifting Door 8 can now also be configured in full online. In this case, too, there’s a configurable assembly available for both the manual version and the electrically powered variant.
Construction profiles with low-reflection surfaces
item has expanded its range of high-quality black anodized aluminium profiles – additional profile cross-sections in the modular dimensions of Lines 6 and 8 are now also available in this colour. The new products include Profile 6 30×30 light, black and Profile 8 40×40 3NO light, black.
Profiles with a black anodized surface finish are fully compatible with the other construction profiles and the fasteners in the item Building Kit System. The black anodized layer has no impact whatsoever on dimensions or product characteristics.
The benefits of black item profiles
All our black profiles feature an especially thick anodized surface layer that ensures outstanding corrosion protection in industrial applications. The matt black colour penetrates the full depth of the anodized surface finish and – unlike a coat of paint – will not chip or flake off. This makes item profiles with a black surface finish perfect for use in applications where scattered light always needs to be kept to a minimum, for example.
These construction profiles are ideal when reflections from the metallic surfaces of naturally coloured anodized aluminium profiles need to be avoided. Black profiles can also bring a distinct look to your constructions and help you make certain areas stand out. When browsing the item Online Shop, you can view all the profiles available with a black surface finish by selecting the appropriate colour in the “Filters” section.
Highlights from other product ranges
We have some great new products for you in other ranges, too. For instance, Tool Holder 8 D24-80 and its Add-on Holders can be used to organise small tools, pens and accessories clearly and in easy reach directly at the work bench. Special contours enable you to connect together up to nine Add-on Holders in a honeycomb-like pattern. This solution means each tool has its own place. Thanks to a spherical fixing, you can tilt and twist the whole holder system into the ergonomic position that suits you best.
Another new solution that helps keep everything where it should be is our Castor Cup 50x50x4, which ensures that trolleys and frames with castors remain in the parked position. The low-rise threshold marks the parking space for a transport trolley and stops it rolling away. Thanks to this solution, transport trolleys are kept securely in the right place – without any need for brakes.

Sensor Holder D20 D8 is one example of the versatile fixings we use to secure sensors of all types in place. These fixings give users a means of installing measurement devices such as proximity switches and photoelectric sensors precisely where they are needed and in the necessary orientation.
