Our illustration shows you which aspects are most important for an ergonomic, healthy sitting position.
In the modern world, people usually spend almost the whole day sitting down. Yet their bodies are not really designed for this – it has only been an unavoidable part of (working) life for the last 250 years or so. Poor sitting positions and the associated bad posture can quickly cause long-term damage. Our ergonomics illustration shows you what to look out for to ensure this doesn’t happen. Although these recommendations have been tailored to production applications, many of the basic principles of ergonomic sitting are nonetheless perfectly transferable to everyday life in the office or at home.
