In the online shop, the pages for the new products have already been created, but one key element is missing – photos of the products. A delay in production has thrown the schedule off-course. How exactly does the Alphashot XL work?
“You can think of the Alphashot XL as a compact, mobile photo studio that efficiently combines hardware and software. You can use this system to effortlessly create individual product images, videos and 360-degree views. The Alphashot XL is the ideal solution for all sectors and any type of product – from shoes and bags to electronics and household appliances.
Let’s imagine you want to photograph a particular product. You start by placing it on the photo system’s motorised turntable. This is linked to the “Orbitvu Station” software on your computer, which you use to control everything you need for your photos – camera, LED lighting and the turntable.
The integrated stand holds your camera in alignment with the centre of the work space, even when you move the stand backwards or forwards. You can then use the software to manage, edit and publish your e-commerce photos. There’s also the plug-in you need to upload the photos to your online shop.”
Which basic challenges can be overcome with this solution?
“One key advantage is that this is an all-in-one solution. Unlike a conventional photo studio, the Alphashot XL doesn’t take up much space, meaning you can easily set it up in a small room. An all-in-one solution of this kind is also inherently cost-effective. It comes with its own software, so you don’t need any other image-processing programs.
What’s more, you don’t have to outsource your content creation – there’s no need to bring in an expert to produce high-quality photos and videos. The system is easy to use and you have control over the environment, which simplifies every single step. It also gives professional photographers more creative freedom.
The entire system is really flexible. Thanks to extensive accessories, you can easily customise the system to suit your specific requirements. For example, you can use your existing Canon cameras or lenses or buy a set recommended by us.”

You offer three different models of the Alphashot XL. What are the differences between them?
“We offer an affordable basic model and two extensively equipped versions – the Alphashot XL Pro and the Alphashot XL Wine. The Alphashot XL Pro boasts an ergonomic design, lots of lighting options and sliding doors on two sides so you can easily reach inside the device.
The Alphashot XL Wine was designed for a specific task, namely taking photos of glass and other highly reflective materials. In e-commerce, this is particularly important for taking photos of bottles and glassware.
There’s a black interior to prevent reflections. There’s also an anti-reflective kit, a bottle support and a black/white front cover that eliminates reflections, enhances lighting.”

What feedback have you had about the Alphashot XL from your e-commerce customers?
“The feedback is really positive. Our customers particularly like how user-friendly our solutions are. Being able to produce high-quality content faster offers further benefits, too, cutting both costs and time-to-market.
At present, most of our customers are in the e-commerce sector, where large numbers of product photos are needed. However, more and more companies from other sectors, such as quality assurance, spare parts identification or medicine, are also approaching us.
